EEC Model Explained: 72V RAWRR Mantis L3E Models
There are several different available certifications for two-wheel cycles to be able to ride legally on a public road in Europe.
The general notion for this certification process is called EEC, which is also known as E-mark for some related parts. Different classifications of the certificates allow for a different maximum speed on the road and have detailed explanations about the power setting of the vehicle. One should know the difference between different licenses before purchasing a motorcycle.
RAWRR Mantis makes some of their models certified for road-legal use. Some brands would do an L1E certification, which allows a maximum speed of 45km/h. Rawrr Mantis, on the other hand, makes the EEC version of the bikes to L3E certification. This allows the rider to reach a maximum speed of 85km/h.
L1e refers to light two-wheel powered vehicles like mopeds and powered cycles. This form of certification is usually seen on a general electric scooter. While L3e designates two-wheel motorcycles with higher power and speed capabilities. If you are a dirt bike fan and also want to ride on a public road, then the L3E certification would be a must before you decide to purchase.
From Rawrr Mantis, you can have two dirt bikes legally licensed for a road ride. The two models are the 72V Mantis X, X Pro, and the 72V Mantis S.
Hey I have a 2023 rawrr mantis and it is 60v why cant i find an owners manule anything, i also hamve the 2025 mantis x. Now by looking at these bikes I would say that 2023 if I was to put 72-volt motor or battery pack in there that motor is bigger than my 2025 it should fly by that one is that not true what would I have to do to put a 72 bolt battery in the one that’s got 60 volt and why does it have a 64 what would I have to change controller to that point might as well just buy a new bike but if you could let me know those things I’m quite curious thank you
